BEMC 2005 British Electromagnetic Measurements Conference (14th - 17th November 2005, Teddington, UK)
Scope of conference
The BEMC technical programme consisted of poster and oral sessions,
including a number of invited presentations by leading scientists working at
the frontiers of measurement science and technology.
The scope of the conference included:
- Measurements for RF and microwave technologies, including
communications and Health and Safety
- DC and Low Frequency electrical and magnetic measurements
supporting manufacturing and other activities, including power conversion and
measurement
- Good laboratory practice, uncertainty, conformance with
regulation
- Self calibrating instruments, Internet-Enabled Metrology, Software
for measurement, mathematical modelling
- Future electromagnetic measurement challenges such as
Bio-electrical, MEMs, THz and displays technologies
The conference also included tailored workshop sessions where smaller
interactive discussions were held on popular topics such as small currents,
jitter & communications, and NPL Good Practice Guides.
